A bespoke portrait session is a highly personalised photography experience, designed to reflect your unique personality, style, and preferences. Unlike standard portrait sessions, a bespoke session is tailored specifically to you, ensuring that every detail – from the setting and wardrobe to the mood and final presentation – is thoughtfully considered to deliver truly individual results.

This process begins with an in-depth consultation, either in person or virtually. During this meeting, we will discuss your vision, desired style, and any specific ideas you might have. This is also an opportunity to talk about locations, outfits, props, and the intended use of your bespoke portraits – whether you are looking for a beautiful keepsake album to celebrate an event, a statement metal print for the wall, personal keepsakes, or gifts. One of the key elements of a bespoke portrait session is the careful selection of the location. This could be in the comfort of your home, a studio, a scenic outdoor spot, or a place of personal significance. We can offer location suggestions that best complement your style and the story you wish to tell. Time of day is an important part of styling your session to work with the light if you decide on an on-location session. Styling advice is provided, covering wardrobe choices, hair and makeup recommendations, and guidance on accessories to ensure a cohesive look throughout the session.

On the day of the session we will have fun, allowing your natural expressions and character to shine through. The session is unhurried, giving you plenty of time to settle in and feel comfortable in front of the camera. I will gently guide you through poses and expressions, while also allowing space for spontaneous moments that capture your true essence. I pose you through actions over directions allowing you to shine in the most natural way.

During a bespoke portrait session, every element can be customised. This might include incorporating meaningful props, choosing a particular time of day for the best natural light, or designing a theme that reflects your interests or background. This is why having an in depth consultation is so important.

After the session, your portraits are lightly edited ready for presentation. You will be invited to a viewing session, either in person or online, to select your favourite images and decide on which images you would like to use in your final products, which we would have previously discussed at your consultation, although this can be changed and added to at any stage. The final chosen portraits will touched-up and sent to a professional lab to be printed. Any digital product will be delivered to your in-box.
